qPCR & Digital PCR Congress

6th-7th Dec 2021

Heathrow Marriott

8th qPCR & Digital PCR Congress

qPCR is a powerful tool that delivers precise and quantitative data reflecting the biology of the tested experimental parameters. The precision of dPCR enables the detection of rare point mutations and mutations induced by gene editing in a background of wild-type sequences.

However, there are challenges in using these tools in a clinical setting. These include accuracy, reproducibility, assay optimisation, multiplexing, standardisation and translating methods into applications.

These are the focus of the 2021 meeting. Case studies and interactive sessions will explore qPCR & DPCR across diverse areas such as oncology, infectious diseases, vaccines, clinical applications, microbiology, and other novel applications.

The meeting is collocated with the 3rd Flow Cytometry Congress and the 3rd Liquid Biopsies Congress. Attendees can track hop across all three events.

How You Will Benefit

This programme creates a collaborative environment in which you can build on and create new enduring relationships.

  • Learn how extreme PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2 can complete a test in less than five minutes.
  • Explore the preclinical steps that have led to the development of the novel bacterial strain to treat obesity
  • Discover how Two-tailed PCR can quantify miRNA, for typing of cell-free DNA in liquid biopsies and for direct blood genotyping
  • Learn how to perform robust and highly accurate targeted preamplification in combination with qPCR and dPCR
  • Understand how ddPCR assays could be set up to highlight the presence of ctDNA in several clinical contexts
  • Build on existing partnerships and create new collaborations
  • Give a poster presentation
