On 12 June 2019 Baroness Blackwood gave a speech in which she pointed to the “five new centres of excellence for digital pathology and imaging”, as an example of the government’s continued commitment to deliver digital pathology to the NHS. That said, pathology departments have not yet seen the same level of transformation as experienced in radiology. In a recent interview, Darren Treanor observed that “there has been a subtle shift in pathologists – they used to say that digital pathology was something they’d like to learn more about, but now they are saying that they must have it. There’s been a cultural shift in the profession.”

We are delighted that Darren will be giving one of the 40+ presentations at the 2019 Digital Pathology & AI Congress. Over two days discover more about the latest advances and applications of digital pathology. Learn how artificial intelligence and machine learning is being applied to primary diagnosis and clinical research and how the image-based information environment is transforming the laboratory.

“There was a good mix of user cases and future developments. It was easy to pick what you wanted to hear. This was the best one yet.” NHS
“An opportunity to interact with colleagues and suppliers and learn from speakers experience of Digital Pathology implementation.” Bedford Hospital
“Sessions highlighting realistic strategies for Digital Pathology and AI implementation were insightful. Panel discussions were also most interesting.” St Georges Hospital
“I networked with other people passionate about digital pathology and hear about their plans” Scottish NHS

This meeting has a reputation for providing an outstanding networking experience in which you can discover how to effectively harness gains such as reducing lab costs, improving links between other laboratories & scientists and minimizing human error. Plus, you will have ample opportunity to meet your colleagues, the speakers and exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services including optional workshops led by Akoya Bioscience, 3D Histech, Indica Labs, Philips and NanoString.
